The Document Foundation

is calling for designers around the world to submit ideas for a new identifier for the

LibreOffice Community

.

The design should be completely new and available in two colours (

to reduce printing costs, if necessary

), and in full colour. There is no restriction whether it’s a true mascot or just a symbol.

Proposals should reflect the following metaphors:

• Freedom/Openness • Speed/Improvement • Intelligence • Cuteness / Seven lives

All submissions should follow official LibreOffice branding guidelines and be provided under the

CC0 license

to maximise their use by the community. Results will be filtered by a commission named by the Board of Directors and voted by the community.

Authors of the top three proposals will get the following prizes:
