are accepting applications for the fourth edition of the

RBC Canadian Emerging Designer Competition

- the only competition of its kind in Canada, where innovative design and entrepreneurialism intersect.

This national competition provides an unparalleled opportunity for emerging Canadian designers to gain exposure while celebrating the immense and diverse design talent in Canada. The competition aims to celebrate the best of the best among Canada’s emerging designers.

Participation is open to practitioners across all disciplines, including (

but not limited to

) Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Fashion, Graphic Design, UX Design, Product Design, and Urban Planning.

There is no entry fee

.

Eligibility

Open to all Canadian designers (

citizens and permanent residents

), aged 18 to 35, in all disciplines.

Prize

An overall winner will be selected by an expert jury and receive a cash prize of

20,000 CAD

. This winner will receive a personalized mentorship package and an exhibition of their work at design exchange that will open in

July 2019

and run through to

October 2019

.

Honourable mentions will be selected and each will receive a

1,000 CAD

cash prize. All winning and honourable mention work will be exhibited at design exchange and featured in an awards publication.
