The

Hermione Hammond Drawing Award

is a £2,000 award for emerging artists to encourage and reward the practice of contemporary representational drawing.

For 2020, the award will be given as a prize at the Annual Exhibition of the New English Art Club at Mall Galleries

for a drawing by an emerging artist aged 35 or under.

Acceptable media include pencil, pen, ink, charcoal, conte, pastels, oil pastels, sanguine, or printmaking and mixed media pieces where draughtsmanship is in evidence.

The judging committee, comprised of the family of Hermione Hammond and representatives of Mall Galleries, will pick the winner from the exhibited, eligible works by artists aged between 18 and 35 at the time of submission. Work must have been completed in the last two years and must not have been previously exhibited in London.

Entry fee is £18 per work
