International Cartoon Competition Berlin 2015

The KURTUKUNST Gallery and LIMES Image Agency invite cartoonists from all over the world to participate in the 6th International Cartoon Competition Berlin 2015 with the theme 'Spying'.

In June 2013, when Edward Snowden began leaking highly classified documents of the National Security Agency to the press, the revelations sparked a global firestorm of debate and outrage about U.S. surveillance practices. George Orwell’s fictional novel 1984 is becoming frighteningly more realistic. Such massive data collection violates privacy rights.

Number of cartoons: maximum of 3 works. The cartoon can be produced analogue or digital, but it has to be sent only in digital format: minimum: 500 KB / maximum: 25 MB, file format: JPG, color mode: RGB.

All copyrights are held by the author of the cartoons.

There is no entry fee.

Eligibility


The contest is open to all cartoonists worldwide.

Prize


• 1st Prize: Golden He-Goat + Certificate
• 2nd Prize: Silver He-Goat + Certificate
• 3rd Prize: Bronze He-Goat + Certificate
• Audience Award: Certificate

The awards ceremony will takes place on the 5th of June 2015 in the Museum Story of Berlin.
