International Festival of Sports Cartoons

This year the Cartoon Festival, organised by

Sportimonium Museum of Sport

in Belgium, pays tribute to

cycling

, one of the most popular sports and omnipresent in the media.

The subject may be interpreted very broadly: the Tour de France, with its publicity cars; cyclo-cross, in wintry conditions; or track cycling. Obviously, cycling icons like

Merckx

,

Cancellara

,

Boonen

, or the first Polish world champion

Kwiatkowski

, also play also an important role in the story of cycling.

The drawings shall have the following dimensions: 210 x 297 mm (DIN A4). Digital entries are also welcome (if your digital entry is selected you will be requested to send your original work).

Each contestant can provide up to 5 cartoons. The cartoons shall not have been exhibited or published before.

There is no entry fee

Eligibility

The contest is open to any person worldwide.

Prize

A jury will select the works for the exhibition and will award the following prizes:

• First place:

600 Euro

(approx. 730 USD)

• Second place:

400 Euro

(approx. 490 USD)

• Third place:

250 Euro

(approx. 305 USD)
