Now in its 25th edition, this annual competition for portraiture and figurative art is open to all artists and it has an impressive 50,000 USD cash award. A variety of mediums is welcomed and encouraged.
All entries must be the artist’s own original design and concept, completed after March 2020.
No photography, electronic, computer generated art, art done in a class, workshop or under supervision is eligible. All other media is accepted and encouraged, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional. Participants are eligible to submit up to three artworks for consideration.
The 50 USD entry fee covers up to 3 unique submissions.

Prize
The top twenty finalists are required to exhibit their selected original artwork and be present at The Art of the Portrait conference in Washington, DC, May 11-14, 2023 for final judging and awards. The winner will receive 50,000 USD cash award.
