The

Press Cartoon Europe

is an initiative of the

Press Cartoon Belgium

in association with the

International Cartoon Festival

. This annual prize awards the best cartoon published in any European country.

The cartoons must have appeared in the course of 2014 in a newspaper, magazine or periodical which is available to the general public, and published in one of the European countries.

You can submit up to a maximum of three cartoons. All texts and captions in a language other than French, English, German or Dutch must be translated into one of these four languages.

The jury, composed of journalists from several European countries, will select the winning entry to be awarded the

PCE Grand Prix 2015

, as well as a second and a third prize.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all cartoonists who publish in European newspapers, magazines or electronic media.

Prize

The author of the

Grand Prix

will receive a cheque for

8.000 Euro

(approx. 9,700 USD) as well as a bronze trophy created by the Belgian artist Ever Meulen. The second and the third prize receive

1.000 Euro

each.

The award ceremony takes place at the opening of the annual

International Cartoon Festival

at Knokke-Heist (Belgium) in

July 2015

. The cartoons also appear in a multilingual annual catalogue.
