For corresponding with the global trend, opening new visions toward art, accelerating intercultural communications, elevating technique standard, raising the visibility of Taiwan watercolour and fulfilling the idea of '

By inviting worldwide watercolor artists and highly recognized watercolor masters to participate in the competition, and organising symposiums, seminars, workshops, visits during the exhibition, the organisers hope to promote and reinforce the development of watercolour art, making

a prominent country for watercolor art in a long term.

Entries must be primarily painted with

and unvarnished (

). Supplementary media such as

,

,

and other water-based composite media are allowed to use but the use of transparent watercolor must be over

on the painting.

Each entrant may submit a maximum of 5 paintings. All entries must be the original work of the entrant, and must be completed within last three years (

).

The maximum size of work, in its largest dimension, is 110 cm. The minimum size of work, in its smallest dimension, is 40 cm.

Entry fee is 50 USD each entrant.
