To promote creative literature and art for children and young adults,

invites authors and illustrators from around the world to submit entries for the 23rd edition of

Writers and illustrators may submit entries, provided that their work is in

. Stories must be told through the interaction or close interrelation between images and a brief text. Stories told purely through images are acceptable, but books without illustrations are not eligible.

Entries can have any theme, book layout, and illustration technique, with a maximum length of 48 pages and a minimum of 16

.

Both text and illustrations of entries must be completely unpublished. Entries must be submitted as

with the finished design, text, colour, and illustrations, the closest version to the final book.
