The
Arte Laguna Prizeis an international free-themed art competition aimed at enhancing
Contemporary Art. Promoting contemporary art and providing artists with professional development opportunities are the founding principles of the competition.
There is
no thematic guidelines or any other restriction, and its goal is to collect the multiple expressions of contemporary art in the fields of:

Photography Art•
Sculpture and Installation•
Video Art and Short Films•
Performance•
Virtual Art•
Digital Graphics•
Land Art•
Urban Art•
DesignThe works will be evaluated and selected by a jury of international experts including directors of foundations and museums, independent curators, art critics, and chaired by
Igor Zanti, curator of the Prize and director of
IED Venice.
For the partial support of the organisation expenses, the application fee is 100 Euro + 22% VAT. For
under 25artists the application fee is 80 Euro + 22% VAT with the obligation to attach a copy of the artist's ID card in the subscription.
Eligibility
Open to artists worldwide with no age restrictions.
Prize
An international jury will select
120 finalist artistsfor:
• 4 cash prizes of 10.000 Euro each, for a total amount of 40.000 Euro
• Major collective exhibition in the
Arsenale of Venice• Exhibitions in international Art Galleries
• Collaborations with Companies
• Art Residencies
• International Festivals
• Prize Sustainability and Art
• Publication in the catalogue
The
major collective exhibitionwill take place in the historical location of the Arsenale in Venice (
Italy) in
March/April 2020.
