unREPORTED Free The Arctic 30 Competition

is an international competition that promotes peaceful protest through creative use of multimedia in order to raise awareness about global acts of injustice, whether social, ecological or both. unREPORTED seeks to generate original creative works, to reach as many new audiences as possible, filling the gaps left by mainstream media.

This competition asks for protests against the ongoing detention of

to help raise awareness of their cause.

We believe that peaceful protest can bring about positive change but that creativity is necessary to engage with different audiences successfully on wide ranging issues. To this end, unREPORTED seeks to develop new forms of peaceful protest using multimedia and the creative arts.

Protests must be able to be viewed online, therefore we ask competitors to illustrate their protest in a maximum 1-minute movie, or an image.

Submissions will be judged by a panel based on the following criteria:

: the Protest demonstrates an enterprising approach and endeavors to push the boundaries of how multimedia and the creative arts can be employed to spread messages of global significance.

: the Protest engages with the issues relevant to the campaign; demonstrates critical thinking; portrays a clear message in a new or innovative way.

•

: the Protest is accessible to a wide international audience.

Author(s) may submit one entry only. Author(s) may choose a "Nickname" to protect their identities that will accompany the work across all competition platforms. Entries have to be submitted as either: .MOV (Maximum 1 minute length) or .JPEG (200MB max).
