The

Biennial of Drawing Skopje

draws its inspiration from the 40 years tradition of the

World Gallery of Cartoons

and represents a natural expansion of the scope of

OSTEN

by dedicating itself to fostering drawing and graphic arts.

The

World Gallery of Drawing

is the single event of its kind in

Macedonia

that keeps up with the contemporary trends in the area of visual arts and is a fast-developing one continuously being enhanced by new content in art on paper.

Eligible works for the

2018

edition:

• Drawings • Prints • Photos • Other techniques applied on paper

Artists decide upon the size, theme and media/technique of the submitted works.

The selection process will take place in

June 2018

, the jury will judge at the end of the same month, and the official opening of the

OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2018

and the announcement of the awards will take place on

18th October 2018

in the city of Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.

Prize

All submitted works are exhibited at the Preview exhibition

OSTEN4ART

at the OSTEN Gallery. Short-listed works shall be exhibited at the Biennial's official exhibition. The authors presented in the catalogue shall receive a copy via mail.

The organizer shall cover accommodation expenses of the awarded artists who will announce their presence.
